Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Auteli LLC (“Auteli”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the KarmaKnot mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

KarmaKnot is operated by Auteli LLC, a limited liability company organized in the United States. If you have any questions, contact us at contact@autelillc.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account & sign-in information. You can use KarmaKnot as a guest — identified only by a random ID stored on your device, with no name or email — or create an account with Apple, Google, or your email address. Depending on the method, we may receive your name and email (with Apple you can hide your email, in which case we receive a private “relay” address). For email sign-in we send a one-time code to confirm your address; we never use or store a password.
• Birth details you provide. Your birth date, and optionally birth time and birth place (location/coordinates). These are used to perform astrological and numerological calculations.
• Your content. Goals, tasks, decisions, ratings, notes, and similar inputs you create in the App.
• Palm photos (optional). If you use the Quantum Palm feature, the photo you capture is sent to our AI provider to generate your reading and is not stored by us afterward.
• Usage data. How you interact with features (for example, streaks and screens viewed), used to operate and improve the App.
• Device & diagnostic data. A push-notification token if you enable notifications, and crash/error diagnostics to keep the App stable.
• Approximate or precise location (optional). Only if you enable location-based features; used to compute time- and place-specific results. You can disable this in your device settings.
• Subscription status. Whether you hold an active subscription or have made an in-app purchase. Payments are processed by Apple — we never receive your full payment card details.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the App’s core functions — astrological, numerological, lunar, and energy calculations personalized to you.
• To generate written explanations and insights about your results.
• To send notifications you have opted into, and to maintain features like streaks.
• To process and validate subscriptions and purchases.
• To send one-time sign-in codes and important account or service messages. We will only send marketing or promotional emails if you separately opt in.
• To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the App.

4. Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with trusted providers only to operate the App:

• Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, push notification delivery, and on-device geocoding of the birth place you enter.
• Google — Sign in with Google, if you choose that option.
• OpenAI — to generate AI explanations and analysis, some of your inputs (such as birth data, the questions or decision text you submit, and palm photos if you use Quantum Palm) are sent for processing. Please avoid entering sensitive personal details you would not want processed by a third-party AI service.
• Resend — to deliver sign-in code emails to your address.
• Hosting & diagnostics — cloud hosting and database providers (e.g., Render) that store and serve your data on our behalf, and crash/error reporting (e.g., Sentry).

These providers process data under their own terms and only as needed to provide their service to us.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the App. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data from our servers, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption of data in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

KarmaKnot is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EU) to use the App. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the App, or by contacting us at contact@autelillc.com.

9. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access or delete it, to request correction of inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app controls or contact us at contact@autelillc.com.

10. International users

The App is operated from the United States, and your information is processed there. By using the App, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Our website

Our website (autelillc.com) does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking technologies, and does not ask for or collect personal information. If you switch the site’s light/dark theme, that preference is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. Our hosting provider may process standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) as necessary to deliver the site securely.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
