Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the KarmaKnot mobile application (the “App”), operated by Auteli LLC (“Auteli”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to make purchases, or use the App with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

You can use the App as a guest, or create an account with Apple, Google, or your email address. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device, email, and sign-in credentials secure. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account in the App.

3. Subscriptions & purchases

• KarmaKnot offers a free tier and optional paid auto-renewable subscriptions and one-time purchases. Current plans and prices are shown in the App.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings after purchase.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
• Purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple’s terms. Refunds, where available, are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to disrupt it, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, access it through unauthorized means, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its content, design, and trademarks are owned by Auteli LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You keep ownership of the content you create in the App (such as goals, notes, decisions, and ratings). You grant Auteli LLC a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the App for you. We do not claim ownership of your content and never use it for advertising.

6. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result or insight is accurate or suitable for your circumstances. Some insights are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected; treat them as reflective prompts, not facts.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Auteli LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

9. Apple App Store

These Terms are between you and Auteli LLC only, not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for it. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App. Auteli LLC (not Apple) is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product-liability, legal or regulatory, consumer-protection, and third-party intellectual-property claims. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as “terrorist supporting,” and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the courts located in New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Auteli LLC regarding the App and supersede any prior understandings. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
